After 20 years in the restaurant industry, owning and developing a number of Tex-Mex restaurants, both in the UK and Abroad, Dean Devey was looking to develop his next restaurant concept. Based on the Texan style of his Tex-Mex menu, and of course Dean’s love for a great Rack of Ribs, BBQ and low and slow style cooking was the natural progression for Dean, there began the first step on the path to Que's.
I was with my cousin Greg Blower after his visit to 4 Rivers Smokehouse in Winter Garden; Florida & Greg were immediately impressed by the quality of the food and the entire concept of the smokehouse! Greg discussed this trip with Dean and the idea of setting up a smokehouse together started.
The aim was to create a BBQ menu of moist, mouth-watering Low and Slow cooked Rib’s, Beef Brisket, Smoked Chicken and of course & Pulled Pork, cooked in specially designed wood smoking ovens. The meats are rubbed in high quality blended spices to enhance the meats flavour and then smothered or dipped, your choice, in a variety of Que’s blended BBQ sauces.
