At last the PM has disclosed his roadmap in the commons but I wouldn’t expect the hospitality sector to be raising their glasses just yet, with reopening not before 17th May means our sector will have been closed for a month longer than in the first lockdown. However, pubs and restaurants can welcome customers back inside after this date, and at least we do have what looks like a well thought out plan.
The financial toll reaped by COVID will be deep and no doubt some of it will have had a permanent effect on some operators and the wait for the aviation industry to resume will make the return of tourism even slower. As we wait with baited-breath for the budget to discover what the chancellor has in store for us, although it would seem that the support schemes will continue beyond the current April cut off.
We do need to look on the bright side as it has been a long haul for us all and we are able to finally make a start building for our future.
The team at Cleaner Products have been busy during the lockdown period making a number of changes that will enable us to maintain our competitive edge, we have been speaking with our key accounts and planning the way ahead, all the team at Cleaner Products wish you all the very best of luck and good fortune in the months to come.
