This remarkable new restaurant marks Chef Matt Abé’s first solo venture, following an illustrious career as Chef Patron at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, where he successfully maintained the restaurant’s prestigious three Michelin stars.

In partnership with Gordon Ramsay, Chef Matt Abé has taken over the legendary Le Gavroche site in Mayfair’s Brook Street — an address steeped in culinary history. After over 50 years of service under the great Albert Roux, the site is now set to begin an exciting new chapter. Gordon Ramsay has secured a 15-year lease for the venue — a meaningful return to the restaurant where he once trained as a young chef under Albert Roux.

The new concept, Bonheur by Matt Abé, promises to deliver a modern fine-dining experience defined by artistry, precision, and heartfelt hospitality. The name Bonheur, meaning happiness in French, reflects the restaurant’s philosophy to create an environment of complete contentment and connection for every guest.

Guests can look forward to three exquisite menu formats:

• À La Carte Menu — offering refined, seasonal dishes that celebrate craftsmanship and creativity.
• Journey Menu — a beautifully curated five-course experience.
• Dream Menu — an indulgent seven-course tasting that epitomises Chef Abé’s modern culinary artistry.

The restaurant will also feature ‘Petit Bonheur’, a six-seater chef’s table designed to give diners an intimate, behind-the-scenes encounter with Matt and his world-class team — expected to become one of the most sought-after reservations in London.
